The European Community has switched to a common currency during recent years. An official logo has been designed for the "Euro" which is not part of standard Macintosh fonts (prior to Mac OS 8.5). There is a debate whether the "Euro" sign is a character whose design changes with every font or not. Officially, it is a character-like item with only one official form, and this is the form included in our font.
The MacCampus "EuroLogo" font contains nothing but the Euro symbol in various sizes that match standard fonts like Times® and Helvetica®. The font may be freely downloaded from this site using the link below. Please note this is a Macintosh font and not suited for Windows! Windows users might download new fonts from Microsoft's web site at the "Typography" section.
Download "EuroLogo.hqx" (approx. 60 KB) The self-extracting archive contains a PostScript and a TrueType version of the font, along with some notes. The picture above shows the logo from this font at 127 points with no smoothing applied.
Please note that the font is free of charge, but not in the Public Domain.
